Bush’s National Guard years

Click the headline link and read the article by Byron York for "The Hill"
Why has the main stream media not reported this. The National Guard has a point system that adds up to basically, as I understand it, days of service. The basic requirement is for 50 points per year. Bush's service was as follows:

Year 1 : May 1968 - May 1969 : 253 PNTS
Year 2 : May 1969 - May 1970 : 340 PNTS
Year 3 : May 1970 - May 1971 : 137 PNTS
Year 4 : May 1971 - May 1972 : 112 PNTS
Year 5 : May 1972 - May 1973 : 56 PNTS
Year 6 : May 1973 - Discharge : 56 PNTS

So you tell me, did Bush complete his service? Did he desert as stated by Michael Moore? Was he AWOL as stated by Terry McAuliffe, chairman of the Democratic National Committee? While Dan Rather was trying to prove that Bush got special treatment, did he bother to accurately portray Bush's service record? Hell no.

I think Not!

I read the other day that when Bush transferred to Alabama he did on on a non-paying basis- which explains why there are no pay records for that period. Can't recall where I read it but could have been Polipundit. The non-paying option was referenced on one of the documents the White House released ages ago.

Sad that the main criticism the Kerry camapaign can up with is this non-issue. Guess it just shows what an empty suit Kerry is.
